The Bergisch Trail: Stage 12

This stage offers great prospects, with ever-changing views of the Bröl and Sieg valleys and, if long-distance visibility is good, the Siebengebirge and Eifel on the horizon. But in order to reach these, there are also a few climbs to overcome along the comfortable forest trails and fantastic cliff paths. The school where the idea for the first youth hostel was born, the timber-framed village of Auel and the small medieval town of Blankenberg ensure that your hike is neither culturally nor visually monotonous.
