How the wild Wupper was tamed

The Hückeswagener "Wasserweg” (Water Trail) goes around the auxiliary dam of the 25.6 million cubic metre valley reservoir. Along the 4.3 kilometre loop trail, the illustrated information boards explain how the valley reservoir works and the history of water power in the region. Along the way, exciting information is to be discovered about a treatment plant and the auxiliary dam.
And it’s not just the adults who learn interesting facts on the topic of water; primary school children can also learn a lot from the information boards.
