The Bergisch Trail: Stage 11
The longest part of this stage runs by the Wahnbach valley reservoir. Initially on broad agricultural roads, then increasingly on natural paths, the trail is impressively close to the drinking water reservoir. The route offers exciting views of a landscape whose flair is reminiscent of the Scandinavian Fjords. Past the medieval Happerschoß and on to the former Seligenthal Monastery in to the valley of the Sieg, where the stage destination, Hennef, the “city of 100 villages”, awaits.
