A region full of energy

Water, wind and sometimes even sun - the Bergisches Land is full of energy that humans have in part already been using for centuries. On the Energieweg (Energy Trail) this fascinating history can be discovered.

The approx. 12 kilometre experience trail vividly demonstrates the connection between the scenic experience of the Aggertalsperre reservoir and the topic of regenerative energy. The trail was developed together with the town of Gummersbach, ZebiO e. V. and BioEnergieDialog Oberberg-Rhein-Erft, the Agger Association, AggerEnergie GmbH and Landesbetrieb Wald und Holz NRW. The texts on the information boards provide lots of exciting information on the topic for both primary school children and adults.
